Radon Testing

CEA provides practical radon testing solutions. Testing ranges from residential, commercial, facility testing and geological structures. Radon test can and should be practical and inexpensive. Why test for Radon? According to the EPA, CDC and the Florida Department of Health, radon is associated with the energy release by alpha particles inside the lungs which can potentially cause lung cancer.

When  should I test for Radon?

  • Realestate transactions;

  • Mandatory testing in medical and health care related facilities;

  • Mandatory testing for School and government facilities;

  • When you are located in an area that has a high potential for radon gas and you do not have a radon mitigation system installed in your home or facility.

Radon is reported in picoCuries per liter (pCi/L). According to the EPA 4 pCi/L is considered a Action level which means additional long term testing and mitigation procedures should be recommended for the tested location. In addition the Florida Department of Health consider this level as a mandatory reporting to their department and strongly suggest mitigation be conducted due to potential health effects of exposure to radon.
